At Vertical, we are dedicated to providing you and your horse with quality and personalized service. Our staff, with decades of horse experience, strive to create a place where you can feel at home. We offer a variety of services, including boarding, training, lessons, and camps. Our family-friendly atmosphere caters to a variety of ages, levels, and disciplines.

Vertical Farm, our primary location, was established in 2011. It is conveniently located just off exit 20 of the Northway in Fort Ann, New York. In 2017, we opened a second location, “Vertical Stables.” Nestled along the picturesque countryside of Fort Edward, New York, Vertical Stables offers the same quality of care as our flagship location.

Staff

Kiersten Vroman

Owner / Trainer

Kiersten grew up in the Equestrian world of the Old Chatham Hunt Club in Chatham, NY. She is a licensed NYS Veterinarian Technician and is well versed in equine health and well-being.

Kiersten actively competes and clinics in dressage and eventing with several horses. Always working to improve the quality of lessons, Kiersten is currently working on the USDF Instructor Certification Program and plans to be certified in 2019.

Kiersten focuses on lessons in dressage, eventing and jumping but also enjoys sharing her love of riding and horsemanship with riders of all ages and experiences.

Jeff Vroman

Owner / Manager

Jeff is a Warrensburg, NY native and has managed horse farms in Ohio and New York since 2004. He holds a certification in Farm Management from the American Riding Instructors' Association.

Jeff not only manages the physical setting and horse care at Vertical Farm, but manages the finances to optimize each client's investment.

Jeff recently fulfilled a life-long dream of owning a zebra. In November 2018, Jeff traveled to Nebraska to bring home an an 8-month-old Grant Zebra, whom he named "Amarache." Jeff hopes to train Amarache how to drive. Amarache lives with Jeff and Kiersten at the Fort Edward property.

Cece Campala

Trainer

Cece Campala is our assistant trainer here at Vertical Farm. Cece has been riding for 18 years, and has experience in many disciplines. While she currently events with her horse Holly, Cece has also competed in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. Cece teaching students of all levels and disciplines, and enjoys working with student of differing interests.

Cece is currently enrolled in nursing school. When not riding or teaching, Cece enjoys hiking with her dog Ozzie, who can often be found "assisting" Cece from outside the riding arena!
